Dear Ones,
We had a wonderful Sunday School class with 12 in attendance. We had Sister Barbara Jean & Brother Albert, Sister Thalia & Brother Dewey, Tim Tarr & Tracy, Brother Gary, Brother Dewey Lee,Brother Chessie,Barbara Tarr, Brother Roy & Sister Dawn. What a great time was had by all. Everyone was so filled with the Spirit. We sang "How Long Has It Been", "I Am Resolved","Sweeping Through To Glory","Jesus Took My Burden" & "He Filled A Longing". Brother Chessie prayed a sweet and humble prayer.Brother Albert gave out the verses and talked so pretty.Everyones verse was so awesome! You could hear Amen and pretty. And Brother Roy got up to read the Holy Word for us. We're studying in Hebrews, Chapter 12. "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, aand is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."verses 1&2This is all so beautiful. Talking about how He chasteneth his children. Oh Praise His Holy Name! And how afterward we have the peaceable fruit of righteousness."Follow peace with all men,and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord."verse 14Brother Roy talked about the old covenant, and how now "But ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels."verse22 "To the general assembly and church of the first-born, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel." verses 23&24 Praise the Lord... "Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
For our God is a consuming fire." verses 28&29Children we will not escape the wrath of God."Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also Heaven."verse 26 Amen!We must make straight paths for our feet and humbly follow our Lord. We feel so Blessed! Thank you Jesus! We stood and sang, "I Was Glad When They Said Unto Me". Each one gave a beautiful testimony and tears fell. Brother Dewey asked if anyone needed prayer and all hands were raised. We are so thankful for this little church up the neck and for each one that is here praising our Lord. The Spirit of the Lord filled this Church and all of us today. Praise God. Sister Barbara Jean dismissed with a sweet and humble prayer. Please keep us in your prayers.Raleigh Feast Meeting is next week-end, please keep them in your prayers too. God Bless All.
