Dear Ones,
We really enjoyed our Studies tonight. We had 5 in attendance since Brother Marshall is still in the hospital and Sister Christine is watching over him. We really miss them both.We had Brother Dewey Lee, Brother Albert & Sister Barbara Jean, Brother Roy & Sister Dawn. We sang "I Want To Stroll Over Heaven", "I Believe In A Hill Called Mt. Calvary", & "On Christ, The Solid Rock I Stand". Brother Albert prayed a sweet, humble prayer including Brother Marshall, Jane McComrick, & George Howard Bunting. These folks all need prayer for health issues.We studied Daniel Chapter 6. Brother Roy read the Holy Scriptures. We studied about how King Darius was tricked by all those under him to make a decree that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days would be cast into the den of lions. They did this because they wanted to catch Daniel. They could not find any fault or error in him.Daniel knew that this writing was signed and he went to his house; "and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime." 6:10 The King was told about Daniel and was sore displeased. Daniel was cast into the lions den and the King spake,"and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee." 6:16 That night it was quiet and the Kings sleep went from him.The King cried to Daniel the next morning, " o Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?" 6:20 Daniel answered, "O king, live for ever. My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions mouths, that they have not hurt me:forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me;and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt."6:22Then King Darius made a decree,"That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and steadfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end."6:26 Amen That's our God. He's just the same today!The men that accused Daniel were thrown into the lions den with their families. Brother Roy did a good job tonight, we really enjoyed this chapter. Daniel is such a good Book. But the truth of the matter is, Our God will take you through!!!Praise the Lord. Just as He did back then, He's just the same today. But now we have his sweet spirit. Thank you Jesus. Please keep us in your prayers here and in Chincoteague and all of our Churches.
